We have closed for the Yurt for the season. Hope Valley continues to be a wonderful place to explore. If you are interested in a bit of cross country skiing or snowshoeing, the Kirkwood Cross Country and Snowshoe Center will be open until April 20. They will close after that.
We will continue to let you know about recreational possibilities in the Hope Valley area, up into Blue Lakes and Burnside Lake, along SR 88 from Plasse’s to Woodfords, into Markleeville, and over into Meyers and South Lake Tahoe. Events, trails, and places to sit back and relax, throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Stay tuned!
HOPE VALLEY OUTDOORS is located at Pickett’s Junction, at the intersection of Highway 88 and Highway 89 in Hope Valley. Our yurt is on the south side of Highway 88.
HOPE VALLEY OUTDOORS is a sustainable, off-the-grid, winter resort offering our customers the best in outdoor recreational opportunities!
If you’re looking for cross-country skiing, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, rentals, lessons, and even guided tours, Hope Valley Outdoors can provide experienced instruction and information for all your outdoor needs.
We now have a FAT BIKE for you to rent. In our quiet and secluded location, only 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe, we do not have any internet, phone or cell phone service.
We are only able to accept cash or checks.
We maintain the trails around our yurt, and provide cleared parking for you. We appreciate your donation to help us to continue to do this. We suggest $10, but any donation is welcome.
