We have closed the Yurt for this season. Thank you to all of you who made this such a great season on the snow. We look forward to seeing you next fall when the snows fall again.
Hope Valley continues to be a wonderful place to explore. Dust off your gear. It’s time to keep exploring.
We are only able to accept checks or cash at the Yurt.
Please note that winter conditions can be very cold, especially when the wind is blowing. Wear enough layers, wool, smart wool, synthetics, to stay warm while you are skiing.
HOPE VALLEY OUTDOORS is located at Pickett’s Junction, at the intersection of State Route 88 and Highway 89 in Hope Valley. Our Yurt is on the south side of Highway 88.
We are a sustainable, off-the-grid, winter resort offering our customers the best in outdoor recreational opportunities!
If you’re looking for cross-country skiing, back country skiing, snowshoeing, rentals, lessons, and even guided tours, Hope Valley Outdoors can provide experienced instruction and information for all your outdoor needs.
We maintain the trails around our Yurt, and provide cleared parking for you. We appreciate your donation to help us to continue to do this. We suggest $10, but any donation is welcome.
Please note that our grooming equipment accommodates only traditional/classic cross country style skiing (kick and glide).
Our quiet location is only 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe.
